Royal
Honey It is a white to light
yellow substance highly acidic secreted by the young nurse bees. The nurse
bees are the jelly-producers and feeders as a normal part of all worker
bee development. These nurse bees are young workers, about 3 to 10 days
old. They make royal jelly in glands near their mouthparts. Queens on the
other hand are fed on royal jelly during their whole life. Thus it is only
in royal cells that royal jelly is found in quantity large enough to be
extracted. Queens become queens because the royal jelly stimulates the
correct hormone production to fully develop egg-producing organs. A queen
egg is identical to a worker egg; in spite of this, she is twice as long
and lives for up to 4 or 5 years (workers generally do not live over a
month.) The queen is capable of laying up to three thousands egg per day
during the season. It can therefore be said that royal jelly is directly
accountable for the longevity and extraordinary capabilities of the queen.
For centuries, royal jelly has been used as a natural energy boost and
alternative medicine. Royal jelly contains remarkable amounts of proteins,
lipids, glucides, vitamins, hormones, enzymes, mineral substances, and
specific vital factors that act as biocatalysts in cell regeneration
processes within the human body and it is rich in protein, vitamins B-1,
B-2, B-6, C, E, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, inositol and folic acid.
Royal jelly is reputed to have a number of benefits as: • Prevent
arthritis and multiple sclerosis • Improve sexual performance • Reduce
symptoms of menopause • Lower cholesterol • Alleviate cardiovascular
ailments • Treat asthma • Stimulate hair growth • Enhance immunity • Slow
the signs of aging Royal jelly is available in liquid form (usually in
glass vials), tablets, and capsules but before taking Royal Jelly, tell
your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
